Our Beliefs

As a church that is built on the Bible, we believe in:

God - We recognize that there is one and only one living and true God, who exists in three persons — Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit — but without division of nature, essence, or being. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. (Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1; John 1:14)

Authority of Scripture - We value Bible-centered preaching and teaching as the foundation for all that we do. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

Salvation - We believe in salvation only by grace through faith to all who choose to believe.  We believe that all persons who are redeemed have come by grace to saving faith in Christ, not by works, social status, or anything else. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

Everyone has freedom of choice to believe in Christ as his or her Lord and Savior.  Anyone who responds through repentance and faith in Jesus’ atoning life, death and resurrection can be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4; 2 Peter 3:9, 1 John 2:2). “Whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:15).  Once an individual has been truly saved, a person is kept by the power of God and does not lose their salvation.  (John 10:27-30)

Baptism - We believe Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior and the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is a testimony to his faith in the final resurrection of the dead. Being a church ordinance, it is prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper.

Worship - We will seek to praise and worship Him passionately—as individuals, as families, and as a local church. (John 4:23-24)

Church Governance - We are congregationally led by deacons, committees and teams with pastoral spiritual oversight.  We believe all members within the church membership have voice in the church governance and are ultimately responsible for decisions made on the basis of Christ’s will for the church.

Prayer - We will intentionally seek to set aside specific times for private, family and corporate prayer. (Matthew 6:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:17)
